Considering, so questions!

Hi, justdazed,

If you are interested in continuing your studies in Korean language, you should be able to enroll in upper-division classes as long as you have completed the required prerequisites. That being said, some departments place additional restrictions on courses (reserved for majors, etc.), so I would encourage you to contact the Center for Korean Studies ([Stony Brook University Welcome to Korean Studies](Center for Korean Studies | Stony Brook University)) for more information!

To answer your second question: While the majority of our freshmen do choose to live on campus, it is not at all a requirement to live on campus for any length of time. There are off-campus options available to students, and if home is close to campus, you can choose to commute from home!

Hope this information was helpful!
