<p>just an update on a post I made earlier – the summer scholars program at George Washington does not give good financial aid if you really need it. my son shows enough need to get almost complete scholarships at Brown, Harvard and Washington and Lee (and several others) but George Washington only awarded him $1000 towards a tuition of $6100. It isn’t that it is a bad program – just that the endowment and available money for summer programs isn’t much. so if you are in need of aid, that is not a program to consider.</p>
<p>asifkhan – good idea to update the post. I am thinking that when I have time in May, I will possibly start a few new threads: free programs/programs with good financial aid and another thread on programs for middle schoolers. Then I will ask to have those stickied at the top. I will consolidate all the info that has been posted so far and include links. I think that will be most helpful when it comes to applying to summer programs next year.</p>
