<p>Yes, Emory students are required to take 1 semester of higher level math. This requirement is satisfied by calculus. I haven’t heard of a student struggling to complete this GER. </p>
<p>We have General Education Requirements (GERs). Basically, every student is required to take one class from a list in different categories (physical science, math, american history, etc.). Students may get out of many of the GERs. For example, I have a freshman friend who has already fulfilled all of his GERs (due in part to AP credit). The only class all Emory students have to take is PE 101 (which you can take a waiver exam for once you get here). I would check out the Emory website for more information.</p>
