Cornell [$96k] vs Richmond [$61k] for IR (vs American [60k]?)

None of the possible influences or factors are mutually exclusive but all things being equal the statistics suggest a meaningful benefit to attending 1 of 11 schools. Specific to Cornell Law, attending Cornell undergraduate is demonstrably the most frequent and time tested path by a huge margin.

Additionally, attending an elite school like Cornell will provide greater optionality if the student’s ambitions change. Cornell is a target school for both IB and Management consulting which are frequent “fall backs” for former law aspirants. Richmond is a great school but does not have the target status, alumni network or global reputation of Cornell.

If not affordable it isn’t an option but the advantages are real. If not the OP wouldn’t be asking.

Please start a new thread if the above posters wish to continue discussing law school admissions. That is four years in the future and only one of many possible post-grad options for this student. Thank you for your understanding.
