Cornell Class of 2028 Official Thread

No all submitted mid December.

did you do ur idoc late?

does Cornell not know about a rather estimate when I request application fee waiver through my counselor? my counselor had mentioned my family income while doing so…

hmm that’s interesting, could u send a screenshot of how it looks like? the fin aid portal

I think something went wrong in the process. CSS was submitted on time. All the other schools we initiated CSS pulled the info and items are listed in the schools FA portals. I also checked the common app Cornell application to double check if my child marked Fin Aid and it’s marked as yes.

I got something back to sign. Did you hear that getting that is a good sign?

did anyone else’s go from processing to no to do info found?? This is how my screens changed —> first image is before, second is how it looks now.

Yes. But it means nothing other than it is likely that someone in financial aid has had the opportunity to review your account. They may or may not have determined a financial package for you, which means absolutely nothing with respect to your admissions decision.

Everything comes out on March 28th. Some fortunate applicants may get ‘likely’ letters here in the next few days. Great. But some of you are getting WAY too worked up swatting at invisible flies.

does anyone know astrology about waitlist something?

Not sure - all my docs are just processing still and CSS /IDoc sent me an email that Cornell required my financial info back at the end of January to go on CSS and download my parents financial documents through IDOC. Which I didn’t realize until I received the email. You all received that too?

Yup. Not sure why all the focus on portal astrology when we are nearing decision day. S24 hasn’t even checked his portal since confirming that Cornell had received all necessary documents (we are full pay so no IDOC or anything else like that). I understand that kids are anxious to find out, but obsessing about tiny changes to the financial aid portal doesn’t seem like the best use of time.

Wow. This Cornell thread is wack. Go for a walk, breath some fresh air.

Financial aid and admissions are separate, there’s no point in using financial aid portal to predict admissions.

I think the conversation increased because it happened with internationals too (need aware).

I think the conversation has increased because people are losing their damn minds and need to go outside for some fresh air. :joy:

Can’t wait to see how this ramps up as we get even closer to the 28th! I do empathize though…we are also waiting for the 28th so I understand the anxiety! Wishing everyone the best!

I also see the inquiry access denies but im domestic. I submitted my CSS a while ago and cornell already got everything so not sure why its different.

Earlier there was a button FInancial aid status or something or that sort… but now the only way I could access a financial aid to do list was via Student Center Login ( we did a summer program via Cornell) so have access to this… not sure if others can access, looks like the to do list via admission portal is removed. Is what you were mentioning?

true but it can indicate if they removed u from their system or not

since the thread revives. I have a question. If CS is rejected, will the second major I put in the application be equally considered just like my first major? Thanks
