I’m hopelessly refreshing the stupid portal page as if my answer will magically appear 8 hours early
@oliconlon Ahahahaha lol same here
Sorry… I know this is a bad time to bring it up… But, what are your back ups if this one doesn’t work out… I was just curious.
SAAAAAAME
omg guys my hands are shaking right now
@Loyal0learner my state flagship UVA
@AspiringScho1ar Major?
Guys! Feeling such dread right now. I just know I’m not getting in, and I am okay with it - really. I will be happy at the other schools I like. I just feel like a failure, and I will hate disappointing my parents. They say they won’t be disappointed but I think there’s part of them that will and I feel like I let them down. Sorry to vent - but if any of you are also feeling this way, know that you are not alone. I tried to do the best I could, and that’s all anyone can do.
Reading what everyone has said over the past few days and weeks has helped prepare me so much. Cornell would be LUCKY to have all of us is what I think. Wishing you all the best wherever you wind up!
What’s very first thing you will do if you get in?
@bigred1985 if my S gets in, I’m going to book the first possible available time to go on a visit. We’ve done the virtual online tour so we know basically all of it, but I’m sure it’s quite different when you’re there in person. I’d probably plan a few day stay at a nearby motel so we can learn collegetown perfectly.
@bigred1985 probably wake up everyone(Diff timezone). :))
Hi all.
Anyone receive the instruction email from Cornell?
Rip my dad told me he didnt sign the waiver for ed, so im probably not gonna get in.
I tried changing time and settings to 5 to view it early
@Theetee sorry to hear that. It’s a definite that if he didn’t sign the waiver the application won’t go through.
I just found out I got a major scholarship to Tulane so I might withdraw my app… ugh idk
if you withdraw your ED you chance the possibility of getting denied by both. Withdrawing an app can virtually destroy your chances of acceptance to any reputable other college. Cornell can be surprisingly affordable after you see what the offer is, you may change your mind.
Congrats on the scholarship @lourveamerican !!!
@Theetee Penn didn’t contact you to let you know your application was missing some info or vice versa? Usually schools that don’t formally do this via email or on a portal will contact you if you are missing something. I’m surprised they didn’t contact you or your counselor.
@Shrilkshire won’t work, it’s 9:00pm 8th Dec here and still no decision
@Theetee so sorry to hear that
