CORNELL ED

Trust me, AP Physics? AB Calc BC? yeah, that’s not a “we” thing!!

If test scores increase she will be a qualified candidate. Better chance than a lot of people.

This is a typo right? "I wonder what it could have been, I know her SAT subject tests weren’t great and we only took them once. 510 in chem and 620 in math ".

She took them. But was that a Freudian slip? How involved is she in the college application process.

Those scores are very low (a 9th percentile in Chem and a 45 or 28 percentile for math depending upon whether she took Math 1 or 2). If you sent those, that would explain the rejection. I am confused about the mention of Robotics while suggesting she does not have strong ECs. If she was a member of a team that placed 21st in the nation, that would suggest she was involved with a highly successful EC.

I did not see the discussion of the “we” before writing this. If it was too much “we”, that could be a problem in terms of the extent to which the student is able to hack being independent next year. Of course some parents still edit their kid’s papers. We call that cheating…but anyway…

I’m sure this does not pertain but, yes, AP’s can be “we” too when tutors are involved. There are many ways parents can supplement their offspring’s applications and school work. Some continue with it in college.

I guess that was my point. When it comes to those APs, S is on his own, as I can’t help!

OP didnt say anything about “we” in the app. I was just a comment someone made in reference to the use of we, rather than D. What “we” calls it cheating, btw?

This is what first caught my eye.

and then this:

So may be it’s just her way of saying she. NBD
