Cornell Fall 2017 Transfer

Rejected from ILR at 10:01am today

I haven’t posted in this thread before, but some info for context:
College: small lac, not well ranked but CAS has admitted transfers before
GPA: 3.7 (lowered by my 3.5 spring semester 2016 due to a concussion)
Courses: pretty rigorous, currently a sophomore taking a tutorial with a professor, which is usually a privilege reserved for juniors/seniors. 68 credits completed after this semester, which is 1 class shy of the maximum allowed
ECs: excellent.
Published as an economist from a research internship at the American Institute for Economic Research,
VP of Model UN/International Affairs Society,
VP of my school’s chapter of an international nonprofit which links students with charitable internships abroad (AIESEC)
played soccer for the school
started a track team
started and am an editor of the student newspaper on campus
mentored my high school robotics team
am training for a pilots license
tutor 3 classes (in both F16, S17, so 6 classes total)
have a job on campus working in the dining hall

Scores: SAT 2170 (740M, 760CR, 670 W), ACT 35 (35s across the board)

HS: was really really weird. I dropped out after sophomore year to start college 2 years early so I don’t know my rank or GPA but UW is probably around 3.95 and W is probably around 4.3. I also moved between freshman and sophomore year of high school.
Courses: always most rigorous available to me. I was accelerated by 3 years in math and 1 year in science, history, and english.
APs: Euro (4), Art History (4), BC Calc (5)
ECs: I didn’t list any but varsity indoor and outdoor track and robotics (which my team went to worlds for in 2014)

Hooks: high school dropout who started college 2 years early
Strengths: Recommendations, probably 9/10, my professors all know me very well and love my work
Weaknesses: GPA, weird high school situation (No diploma or GED), went to a high school in Upstate New York, my essays probably weren’t the best
