Cornell RD Class of 2022 Applicant Thread

everyone else at this point will find out March 28th at 7pm

Yes @az103

Is the diversity hosting letter only sent to minorities?

Got the diversity hosting email this morning for the CALS. I applied for CS.

how worried should i be if i’m hispanic and didn’t get a diversity letter…

@yikescolle9e not any more worried than any other applicant regardless of race. Most accepted students don’t get a likely letter. Not getting one definitely isn’t a bad sign

Got a diversity hosting email earlier today!!! Can’t believe it!!!

Not getting one is no sign at all. It could be either you got in didn’t receive it or you were rejected. They still have a few more decisions to make. If they were all done, they would just release decisions, but evidently that will not be done until March 28th… 2 weeks from now. Just keep hope and keep pushing

@HERCULES_HERCULES while i think they aren’t yet done, they can’t release early anyways bc of the ivy agreement.

You’re definitely right @applicant1313. But if this was a trend of them finishing 2 weeks early especially with Cornell being one of the more popular ivies in terms of receiving applications, the ivies would probably elect to release earlier. I think they choose to release at the end of March, partially because of tradition but mostly because they actually need the time. Especially with more applicants applying yearly.

bruh

DD likely letter today.

I got the diversity Likely Letter this morning!!! SHOOK!!!

So the diversity hosting letter is simply a likely letter? Because it tells the applicant that they “will be admitted into Cornell…”, not that they’re only likely to or that they need to maintain their grades. Isn’t that an acceptance?

I got the diversity letter as well for Dyson/AEM

I’m a female in engineering and I got a likely letter for diversity hosting. I also received an invitation to the college of engineering overnight event in April in which they congratulated me on my acceptance!

Nah @purplebug

Does anybody know how prestigious the Dyson school is?

@ApexDude specifically? no, but it’s a school at cornell… probably prestigious enough.

@ApexDude Dyson is one of the best in the nation. Why are you asking about the prestige of Dyson now?
