Cornell RD Class of 2022 Applicant Thread

@Cheetodust did you check your spam? i’m pretty sure every applicant should’ve gotten the email

yea im hoping its a technical error. thanks so much for replying!
and yea i checked spam not there.

I was accepted through the diversity hosting, apparently my acceptance package in the mail ( or soon to be ) anyone get it yet? Or how does it look like

@angelthearchitecturestudent it basically looks like a printed out version of the emails. Our official acceptance will look much prettier

I, too, was accepted through Diversity Hosting about 10 days ago. I was super surprised as I thought all acceptance / rejections come out this Wednesday. I received the papers and invitation in the mail a few days later. Best wishes to all during this stress filled time.

sooooooo…i go to beacon high school in NYC and a lot of kids in here get into cornell. A lot of them have 1500+ SATs scores but A LOT of them also have 1000+ SAT scores as well. So at this point, your stats don’t even matter, it’s your personality in your essay that does. I have a 1200 sat score and I have been admitted to Fordham university, American university, and Babson college. So if I can do it with low stats, so can y’all. Don’t stress it, and keep it cool for two more days lmao, the wait is almost over.

If you try to view your decision it says "
Your decision will be viewable on 3/28/2018 at 7:00 PM"

Hi!!
Does anyone know how difficult is to get in in the Animal Sciences major (CALS)? Like, is there a way to know the acceptance rate of each major?
And is there a way to know how many international applicants are there from each country?
I’m asking this because I’m an international student from South America and I would like to know my chances. I’ve got a poor 1380 SAT score (could take it just once), but a 4.0 of 4.0 GPA, good recommendation letters, probably strong essays (I stayed nights awake writing them), and several leadership, volunteers work and animal related extracurriculares.
I’m extremely nervous and anxious… haha Cornell is my dream school and it would be incredible to study there.

I wish GOOD LUCK FOR EVERYBODY here!! According with I read here, everybody has a very good chance of getting in! Wish you all the best!!

@Dreamerstudent2 Hey! There doesn’t seem to be information regarding acceptances for each major, but you can check the acceptance rate for each specific school, which is actually quite interesting: http://irp.dpb.cornell.edu/tableau_visual/admissions
Good luck to you!

One of the most annoying things of this whole process is that people that used my study guides for everything all through out high school are getting into the schools I’m getting rejected from…never doing that again

^oops, wrong thread, but I guess it could be relevant anywhere, haaaaa

Hang in there you will get accepted to a great school. Just gotta believe

Anyone knows what goes on during admitted students day?

@Kd6410 It’s a bunch of campus tours, club fairs, and “what it’s like to go here” panels and socials

I’m p sure this question was asked but whats the acceptance rate to Human Ecology?

@LondonVall oops, wrong thread! I meant to put this in GW

@brooklynkid1 check out post #1049 from @28cats
