Cornell vs. Wellesley?? HELP!

you can always transfer as well.

I would certainly consider Tufts if you got in off the waitlist as well. Great school.

Wellesley seems to be unique and special. Cornell seems to be the lowest common denominator of elite colleges. I think you made a great decision. You can always go to Cornell for grad school.

“Cornell seems to be the lowest common denominator of elite colleges”

huh???

I think TourGuide you are trivializing what is in fact a difficult decision.

Neither school is appreciably different in repute; their “denominator” would be about the same.

Some of the ways Wellesley is “unique and special” are not positives to many students contemplating this choice: specifically: i) campus is smaller, less diverse and has less going on; off-campus activities, though nearly boundless, take time & effort (suburb); ii) inferior course selection; iii) No males.

Moreover, the HDFS progam OP was contemplating is itself a “special” program.

However there are a lot worse things in the world than having this choice.

none of that matters if you’re an anti-Cornell ■■■■■, though
