<p>for UC’s that don’t use a scoring system and do a holistic comprehensive review instead (berkeley, ucla), it’s difficult to say how much of an effect these programs will have, but i’m sure it’s a benefit, especially if you emphasize in your essays how participating in such programs have helped you overcome obstacles.</p>
