By the way, this can sound conspiratorial, but it really isn’t. Colleges have budgets they need to meet.
And W&L was actually quite transparent about all this:
As they explain in that article, this large gift is what enabled W&L to go fully need blind.
But that money is still finite. So they will have to make sure whatever policies they adopt do not exceed the limits of what that new funding can cover.
Again, to address the OP: this is good news in that more funding does mean it is likely W&L will actually have more high offers for Internationals.
But exactly how many in comparison to the number of International applicants it gets seeking such offers now that this is its policy–TBD.
