Couldn't Get Into UGA, Going to Harvard Instead

The girls are here and for the time being, they can remain in the country. At the end of the day the school knew their status when they applied and still chose to accept them and fund their educations.

Who exactly shouldn’t “allow” them?

It works in the opposite direction too. Even private country clubs are allowed to admit—or not admit, as the case may be—whomever they want, which is why Augusta National Golf Club, where the Masters Tournament is played, didn’t admit anyone black until 1990 and didn’t admit a woman until 2012. In 2003 it didn’t admit the female CEO of IBM, which was a sponsor of the tournament.

Oh, puh-Leeze. Let’s not make this about ‘stolen’ opportunities. That gripe gets old and is so cheap.

OK that went off the rails quickly. Closing thread.
