<p>Is anyone applying to LACs (Oberlin, Vassar, Haverford, Amherst) or Dartmouth? I’m also applying to Cornell and Brown, but the chances of meeting someone on this thread at bigger schools is fairly slim.</p>

<p>I say it depends on the school. But in my opinion, a good SAT score would be 2200 above.</p>

<p>at Tan123 – that is utterly dependent on what your goals are. i mean if you want to go to like a average state school a 1700 is probably more than enough. for harvard, the average is about 2230. Yale is slightly higher…</p>

<p>Sure, why wouldn’t they reject people with 2400s? You could have a school full of superscored 2400ers. But a great school isn’t just a bunch of super smart people, it’s also a living community of people with a variety of interesting talents and personalities. I am a huge fan of holistic admissions processes…partly because I have a less than stellar GPA, haha.</p>
