Course Validation

yes. some do and some don’t. my son validated 1 semester of chem and started in chem 2 at the academy. he has mixed feelings about his decision. since chem is the “plebe Killer,” he only suffered one semester of it. however, he thinks that chem 2 would have been easier if he had done chem 1 at the academy instead of relying on his high school general chemistry from 10th grade.

the more classes you validate and actually start in the next class, the less pressure you have to overload some of those more difficult classes. you’ll still need to take the same number of credit hours while there (not counting the validated courses), but it will give you room in your schedule to double major or minor in a second subject.
