If you take courses at CPP that are UC transferable then you will get credit. It all depends upon which classes you are taking now and no you do not have to stay a year. Also, you may have to make up some classes if you want to stay on target for TAG, so attending 1 or 2 summer sessions may be required at your CC. It really depends upon which major you end up TAGing for and what the pre-req courses are needed to fulfill the TAG requirements. You should meet with a transfer counselor at your CC to keep you on track.
