criminal justice to business admin

I think colleges are pretty sympathetic about kids changing their minds - you’re supposed to be thinking a lot and growing and changing at their age. The only issue with changing before he starts is if the bus. school had different entrance requirements. Was he a borderline acceptee? Would he have been accepted if he’d applied to the business program to begin with? I expect they’re looking for strength in math and some things that the criminal justice program might not have cared about as much. So I would think there’s a danger that they may feel they were misled - like he always wanted business but he found a back door to go in.

Since he was recently interested in criminal justice, why not just do that concentration for a semester and then switch if he still wants to? His first semester might be mostly basic required courses anyway and just one or two in his major, so it’s probably not a big deviation from the road he thinks he wants to take now.
