<p>wow musicmom- that was inventive! we had for years (10) on our flat bladder roof what sounded according to our D1 ‘mountain lions’ running around on the roof at night. there were really cute deer mice (think hanta virus) that were entering through the fan bathroom vents 23 feet up the wall! we saw them climb the stucco once. we now have 2 screens (it took 2 from the pest guy) to keep them from coming in . the dryer vent i gave up on since it was up 16 feet and i had no desire to clean it frequently via a ladder on the outside. the dryer is electric so i now vent it indoors ( actually not bad at all) and finally after 10 years no noise, no mice, and no smell when they die in the wall.</p>
