The non-filer statement is something that is completed by folks who don’t file taxes. It documents the reason why these folks haven’t done a tax return. Colleges need to have this documentation…think about it…otherwise any parent could just say they had $0 income and just didn’t file. The non-filers statement puts this to rest.
