I have not heard anything back yet. But huge congratulations to those who are accepted!

It really confuses me how CSU’s go about applications. People of all majors and GPA’s are hearing back really quickly with little consistency on how they are sending them out. I wish the public was more informed on how the process is carried out and what it takes to accept or deny an applicant. It would save me , and presumably many, a lot of anxiety. But hey that’s just my little rant I’ll happily wait day after day refreshing my portal like a madman lmao.

@AMCdad I work for a local high achieving school district and I know they hire a lot of San Marcos education grads. I know that their their nurses have no problems getting hired. I also know a science major who got hired to be a National or State Park Ranger. To be honest, I am sure I know a lot more people who graduated from San Marcos but I am simply unaware. It doesn’t have the prestige of SDSU but it still is a reputable university.

Thank you for the response. Being up North, we just don’t hear much about the school very much. One of my co-workers described it as the “Sonoma State of So Cal” which is pretty much how you described it. A reputable educational experience without the big name status of other schools. Thanks again for the info.

Has anyone else heard back from CSUSM for transfer yet?

@elxzabxth I have not heard anything. I am a psych transfer major and the days get longer and longer everytime I check my portal haha. I don’t think any transfers have heard back, not to my knowledge at least. I hope we hear back soon!

Still waiting to hear back as well, it’s a little ridiculous and nerve wracking to have to wait this long, especially when many other schools require you make a decision by May 1st. But I’m a transfer student as well.
