Can range from late March till end of May.
Thank you! :x
Hi everyone, I was wondering, my son applied to City and Queens. He got an acceptance from Queens via email a couple of weeks ago, but still nothing from City. On Saturday he received the assessment test date letter which states that he “should have received all of his decisions already”, but he’s still waiting on City. Has anyone else had this experience?
Yes last year when I applied as a freshman they stated all my decisions had been made and send me a paper stating where to take the exam yet Queens college had never sent me anything so I emailed the Queens office and they sent it again. Sometimes they forget to send it so you have to remind them.
@warda Good to know. I will try contacting them today. Another thing, do all the CUNY send their notifications via email, or by regular mail? His anxiety is becoming mine so any information I can get helps. Thanks!
It’s both via mail and email some colleges such as Brooklyn and Queens send acceptances and information through both. And additional info is sent through mail.
@robnjessmom City specifically send both an e-mail and a letter, I think most do.
Thanks @warda and @compsci1412…this waiting is killing me. I don’t remember waiting this when I went to college. Last question…for now, lol, would City wait until after he takes the assessment to notify him so you think?
@robnjessmom What assessment? I transferred to City in 2013 and all I had was a couple of placement tests.
Does anyone know when the next wave of decisions coming out ?
@compsci1412 Sorry, the assessment test for math, in particular, but CUNYs make freshmen take placement tests to be able place them in the appropriate classes. It’s probably the same thing.
@ellen77 if you find out, please post it here, lol. I’m dying to know!
Usually after all the colleges has given out the decisions you test the placement/assessment exam.
Yeah, I guess they’re a little mixed up because he definitely did not receive anything from City College yet and he checking the mailbox and email everyday. I’m hoping if he doesn’t get anything by the time he takes the test that we can find out then and there.
Is his first choice city? If it is I applied as a transfer and called them to see if I got accepted and I did get accepted. But I’m just waiting for the official mail. Also a rep told me there is a lag from getting into the college and sending out the emails.
I GOT MY ACCEPTANCE TO BARUCH !!! (:
@robnjessmom
I don’t know if this is helpful to you but I got my decision from CCNY on 2/6/18 and I sent in my application around December.
@warda I tried calling, but the automated message just says his application is “under review.” Perhaps I will trying speaking with a live person tomorrow.
@daniel2494 Congratulations! Best of luck!
@Tofuandchicken They received his application in late November, and the supplemental documents in the middle of December and here we sit.
Hopefully we will hear something soon. Thanks to all!
I applied to Brooklyn, Hunter, and Baruch (accidentally, I meant to apply to City but idk why it became Baruch after I submitted the application, but whatever) and I got accepted to Brooklyn and Baruch. I waited for Hunter for a really long time : )
Just logged into MyChoice Hunter through reset my password, but it says “I Didn’t Do That…/Whoops! Looks like you’re trying to access MyChoice, which is only available for admitted students./If you have any questions about Hunter, please write to us at admissions@hunter.cuny.edu.” Does that mean I got rejected?
Hunter is just… so slow. Waiting is so annoying.
Anyone already got their Hunter acceptances btw?
Perhaps you’re not allowed to use it until you get the official email with the log in and password.
Btw is your prof. Pic of Leo(correct me if I’m wrong)
My portal says “An admissions decision has been made by the college(s) listed on your application. You will receive notification from all college choices shortly.” and the hotline says my application is under review. The Hunter robot says that I need to check my portal. …Oh my god.
