Curling Iron Help!

^The straightening brush isn’t for drying–you use it in place of a flat iron–after your hair is dry.

I sometimes blowdry–when my hair is nearly dry. It only takes 5 minutes or so because I’m using a wet brush (HIGHLY recommend if you don’t have one) and just getting it dry. Then I use the straightening brush or rollers.

Even when I just let my hair dry naturally, the straightening brush is awesome. I usually brush it out first then grab the straightening brush. It’s very hot and you don’t have to bother separating your hair into many parts.

@surfcity…I also use the large plastic rollers. I blow dry my hair with a paddle brush, then end up using the round boar bristle brush. I put the large plastic rollers in at the top and a couple in back. I lightly spray underneath and on top. I leave the in while I put in makeup, eat breakfast…probably 15 minutes or so.

I then use my 2 inch Conair to straighten the hair not in curlers, and then put in a nice “curl” at the end. My hair is long layered. So basically I have the top layers in the curlers and the bottom layers I do by curling iron. I give the plastic rollers a nice blow dry again before I take them out.

Lots of nice loose volume and waves. I tease the top for some height. Spray and then go. It’s really easy.

@collage1 right…the straightening brush is used on dry hair…not wet hair. Honestly…reduced my hair fixing time to practically nothing.

My hair is very thick…and naturally very wavy…and awful. I shower and wash my hair at night. By morning, hair I’d dry. And I use my nice straightening brush. Takes all of 3-5 minutes…no fuss.

I hated the flat iron, and the curling irons…they just took too long.

@surfcity

If you have a Sally Beauty Supply near you they have a very generous return policy.

I have stick straight hair and use a Conair curling iron. I buy one every 6 or seven years at Target. Costs less than $20. Works great. The only things I was looking for were an automatic off, small barrel and fast heating. I bought a second one that I use for travel.

^^Thanks for the clarification. While the straightening brush was $999 on Amazon :open_mouth: , there was a new one (exact same one) for $10 on ebay so I went ahead and bought it. Looking forward to trying it. Hard to imagine I could just air dry my hair overnight and ‘miraculously’ just need a few minutes in the morning to straighten it but I’m up for trying! And, if that doesn’t work, maybe it’ll be easier/faster to use than my flat iron.

Sorry for the tangent…now back to helping the OP.
