My daughter attended a performing arts HS in Natick, MA and auditioned in for a conservatory, but we were unable to afford it. She is completing her first year in theater at the University of Texas Austin. She would like an intensive summer theater program in NYC and has auditions in NYC for the AADA program and the Circle in the Square program in 3 weeks. Any comments?? What do you know about those programs??. What about the program your artist is in?? Many thanks.

Bayou, there are probably threads about Circle in the Square, etc. in the drama section.

Hi everyone! I’m not exactly new to the forum - I visited this sight under a different user name countless times my senior year while auditioning for musical theatre programs. Now I’m back to share the amazing experience I’ve had so far at college studying musical theatre.

I’m a junior undergrad at the Univ. of Wisconsin-Stevens Point. I could not be happier with my education and experiences here. Not only do I feel like I have matured immensely as a performer and an artist, but I also feel like I have matured immensely as a person. I’ve made countless friends here at Point, and the small class sizes in the Theatre and Dance department mean that I have gotten to know every single person in it. It also means that I’ve gotten a lot of personal attention in my classes from all my professors. I am excited to keep working these last two years I’m at school before taking part in the Senior Showcase my senior year and seeing what life has in store for me after I graduate.

I really want to spread the work about the program here at UW-Stevens Point because it has been so good to me and I would love to share that with any prospectives out there. If anyone has any questions about the musical theatre program (or the acting program) at UW-Stevens Point, please feel free to post a thread or PM me!
