<p>one thing you may want to note on the financial aid page is that some academic scholarships are reserved for students without demonstrated need. with your scores, you may be eligible.</p>

<p>beyond that, i would also advise that you acquire a copy of the bucknell handbook, as it contains a fairly extensive list of privately endowed scholarships available to students on campus. from what i remember, because bucknell for so long did not offer athletic scholarships, many are reserved for athletes with strong academic credentials. unfortunately, however, it would likely be impossible for you to know what you might be awarded prior to choosing bucknell. </p>

<p>beyond that, im sorry that theres not much i can say. this is an issue you should definitely address with the coach of your sport; he or she will be able to offer significantly better advice.</p>

<p>on the general issue of money, i agree that 100k in debt is far too much for anyone to take on for any undergraduate education. hopefully something can be worked out so it doesnt come to having to make such a decision. in the meantime, good luck and ray bucknell!</p>
