current students acceptance stats!

As a transfer student from a community college:

I have a 3.5 over all college g.p.a. I had a 3.8 until I hit the harder science major classes like chemistry (B’s really do bring you down which sucks). I’ve been in good standing and on the dean’s list my entire college career so far (I have been at a CC for four years, due to switching from a fire fighting major to a biological sciences major, which set me back two years). As for extracurricular activities, I worked 40 hours a week at a restaurant, I did 20 hours a week as a personal trainer. For volunteering extracurricular activities, I coached track and cross country for my old high school team, ran a blanket drive for project cuddle, volunteered at a pharmacy, and a gym. I also helped rehabilitate a brain injured teacher with my friend who was the psychology club president. I was also apart of honors transfer and alpha gamma sigma club (community service club).

And, even though it didn’t matter in my admissions decision, in high school i had an overall 3.7 gpa (highschool is too easy). My freshman year of highschool I was a little lost and doing the wrong things, which is why my GPA was down. I didn’t work or volunteer. No SAT’s or AP courses because I thought I was going into the fire department. But, I was varsity track and cross country for three years, which was cool. Went to CIF, and taught me a lot. I won a ton of medals for both sports.

My stats arn’t that impressive since a lot of other people have way higher stats. But I bet you have a chance of getting in, you’ll be fine! Don’t compare yourself to others because there will always be someone better than you out there so it’s never a good idea.
