<p>They aren’t predictions. They are just the extrema of the curve: the best/worst case scenarios published in the Blue Book.</p>

<p>The charts are in the Blue Book. They are valid for every SAT. Just because it hasn’t been curved that way in the past doesn’t mean it can’t be in the future. The curve doesn’t care about the quality of the essay: it’s not like a “super duper 12” would make more of a difference in the score, the curve only cares about the score distribution of other test-takers.</p>
