<p>@Damaris: in this case, the CB will also look at the raw scores of these students on the equating section (the section on the SAT that doesn’t count). Remember, the questions on the equating section are OLD questions: they were used before and the CB knows how well previous students did on them. If these new students are truly good, they will also have unusually high raw scores on the old questions as well. So, the CB will not be fooled into thinking that the test was too easy.</p>
