Yikes, this is Off Topic, but I don’t want to ignore your post.

NYU N’Harmonics were the Northeast champions for collegiate a capella this year and went onto the International Finals at Lincoln Center and I was there. They came in third. My D won for best arrangement (she is the Musical Director and arranges many of their songs, and arranged two of the three at finals, one of which earned her the award, High and Dry which was its debut at that concert). Shane, however, won for best arrangement and soloist at the Semi Finals I was at which were at MIT. Yes, one of my D’s best friends from CAP21, who is extremely talented in MT, and is confined to a wheelchair, is now a member of N’Harmonics. Lots of kids in this group are going onto good things in theater…one of the girls in that video (not a soloist) is now in Spring Awakening, one of the boys was just in Glory Days on Bdway (and in History Boys in LA), another recent graduate of her group is in Hair at the Public in Central Park this summer, and another is starring as Sophie in Mamma Mia on Bdway. The soloist in Whipping Post (the other song in the concert my D arranged) is going on a tour this fall and will be in the Broadway Rising Stars show in NYC this month. The group very recently were the opening act at Young At Heart’s concert at The Beacon Theater in NYC. Lots of good singers in the group!

Back to MT cut programs…:)
