I had an awkward call a few years back from a kid who claimed to be the nephew of a neighbor and he claimed he was putting himself thrugh college here in town. Ironically, this is the neighbor I have since dog-sat for, but I politely declined the knives sales pitch.

Love Groupon, but I don’t understand the bringing groups of friends comment.

Haha, jym, funny! Cartera, I’m not exactly sure how groupon works, I was just guessing from what the kids have told me they buy.

Some of the half price coupons will let the original purchaser get theirs for free if 3 friends buy the same daily deal using that particular link. There are occasionally some “girls night out” activites that we enjoy so on occasion will let others know of a deal, but it is not fun to get emails on a regular basis from friends who hope you’ll buy under their link just so they get theirs for free. Most people don’t impose that way on their friends.

I have a set of Cutco knives hanging in my kitchen, as well as a set of Cutco cooking implements hanging above the stove. These are probably 38 years old now. They still look great and are a pleasure to use. I also have many pieces of Wear-Ever.

My father supported our family selling Cutco cutlery and Wear-Ever pots and pans down in Oklahoma when I was just an infant. Great stuff. You can always check for used pieces on ebay, if you don’t want to buy new

I have never had anyone email a Groupon to me and I have not emailed to anyone else so I didn’t even know those types of deals existed.

I just get the daily Groupon deals and have bought several of them for restaurants, a local hardware store, bowling, spa visits, etc. Great deals.

MommaJ, I completely agree with you!
