CyberMonday

It’s $419 at B&H, which is the store I get my cameras at.

I would guess, this is a special price. ( it says it expires the 3rd)

Don’t you hate that gambling game??

I tend to think that prices will go up closer to the holiday unless it things like clothes, etc. Gadgets don’t seem to go down as much. My opinion. But I could be wrong! I say get it. Does Amazon have any price guarantee type policy? Or could you order another and return the first if the price goes down enough to make it worth it???

I think they will refund the difference if the price goes down within 7 days. But I’m not sure. I could probably return it and buy it again if it goes down enough to make it worthwhile. But would I have to pay for shipping to return it? That would negate any savings.

I do hate the gambling part of shopping on Amazon.

I bought a train set for my grandkids about a month ago. It was their “Today’s Deals” and was about $80 off the regular price. I was quite happy with it until it became the “Today’s Deal” again three weeks later for $20 less than I paid… I wrote to Amazon and said that I understand that prices go up and down, but to make it a special deal three weeks later at a lower price makes me not want to shop there. They refunded the difference but told me it was a one time thing. They said ordinarily they only honor a lower price for a week and that otherwise I would have had to return it and buy it again. But the thing is huge, I can’t imagine it pays them to have to ship it twice.

@emeraldkity4, do you have a credit card that provides a price protection? My Discover card has it.

<a href=“Credit Cards, Banking & Loans - Discover”>https://www.discover.com/credit-cards/help-center/faqs/price-protection.html</a></p>

use pricegrabber to compare prices at different stores. also edealinfo does this too. And you can scan a barcode with ShopSavvy (redlaser used to- doesnt work well any more).

I just bought airline tix to go back out to the west coast in Feb. Price was ok. Not outta this world great, but good enough to grab it. And I did NOT pick the 6:15 am flight like we took today. Not doing that again!

My best deal? 2 hour sale on Virgin America- 40% off airfare to visit my DD at boarding school in February!!

So…apparently I had the item in my “cart” at Amazon twice. This morning one of them went up in price to $449 but not the other one. As far as I can tell, they are identical. I compared side by side. So this morning I purchased it for $419 and they took my Rewards Points of $15.11 off again so I paid $403.89. I also put it back in my cart so that if the price goes down in the next 7 days I will be notified and I can ask for the refund.

Still annoys me that we have to play these games.

Yesterday I bought some presents for my D’s on Urban Outfitters which had $50 off $150. All the of the items I purchased were already marked down. I also got D1 a lovely leather fringe purse from Lucky Brand. Original price $188, marked down to $130 and paid $65 with my 50% off. All in all a good day of online shopping!

We did some shopping at Nordstrom Rack last weekend since they had 30% off all clearance items. D1 found a gorgeous leather jacket originally $398 that we got for $51. D2 will be working at Nordstrom for the holidays once finals are over. I’m looking forward to using her discount once again.

I have been reading the ‘Your Good Buy Of the Day’ thread and just discovered this thread when a poster commented about it.
Yesterday, I ordered a 5-pc pressure cooker set from Macy’s. On sale price was $119 discounted from $179, then 20% off and free shipping.

The Cyber Monday sale on Entertainment books has been extended. First book is $19, additional ones are $15, and free shipping.
