<p>The validation policy means that, for Spanish 2, the second semester A allows you to count the first semester D for a-g requirements. (Or a C or higher in Spanish 3 would do it also.)</p>
<p>But the D still counts in your GPA for UC and CSU purposes, unless you retake the course, or you got the D in 9th grade.</p>
