D26 EA/admit after deferral chances, 3.75 UW/4.0 W/ 1210 sport management [MA resident, <$30k without loans]

Cut out Penn State, it’s not going to fall within budget. (If you found 60k, she should apply for Communication&Summer with hope of doing the Sports Communication minor). There’s no merit to be had at PSU. Even Schreyer students only get 5k.

What about Miami Ohio (not sure if it’d make budget but very pretty campus and sounds like the vibe she wants) or UCincinnati (urban, great architecture, excellent business school, sports, scholarships)?

SUNY Cortland was a great suggestion. SUNY Albany for business/marketing. She’d have a shot at the Honors Program at both - it makes a large university experience more personable. JMU?

In Virginia, a reachable reach could be VTech - they have a very good business school and lots of “spirit”. Same for Christopher Newport, a likely, even if it’s not the same level of athletics. The PLP sounds like it’d be right up her alley.

What about Southern Miss if she wants large/public/South with scholarship (&beach access almost year round - 1 1/2 hour drive perhaps)?

There’s Ole Miss also but I’m sure you know about it already.

In Florida, although it’s small, Eckerd is on the beach, has D2 sports, and excellent scholarships. And of course you have USF to consider, with Honors program to make the school more personal.
