I think you may have something abasket. I was surprised by the order of selection for the team dance. I think Kirstie got picked before Apolo, Emmit, and Melissa. Not too fired up about the two songs: Gangnam and Call Me Maybe, really?

I am happy that Bristol is gone. I think Kirstie will be next. Then I would worry about Melissa and Sabrina based solely on fan bases.

I thought maybe Kirstie/Max got chosen because Max is Peta’s girlfriend. She was whispering in Gilles’ ear about who to pick. They might be sorry…

The theme is Guilty Pleasures, so I think cheese was in order on the song selection. Didn’t you think it was weird that neither Derek nor Shawn knew the song Call Me Maybe? Under what rock have they been living?

I also was surprised they didn’t know Call Me Maybe. When they first looked at the card with the song title and had a blank look on their faces, I was the one in shock when I heard the song title. If Derek or Shawn were 70 years old, maybe I could see them not knowing the song, but really, at their age neither knew it; that was just odd!

I came in late, just in time to see Gilles, who was marvelous. The people who did the team dance didn’t dance solo and vice versa? Is that an advantage for those who get an extra day?

I read elsewhere that Gilles will have almost nothing on during the team freestyle . Maybe he’s doing the swimming pool scene from the gangnam video? My theory is Kirstie and Max will do the stables, with Kirstie as a horse (she’s got a good enough sense of humor). Cheryl and Emmet can do the subway scene. Val can be the guy in the yellow suit and red car. And all the women can be “sexy lady”.

I like that Gilles was the first to reach Carrie Ann, followed by Tom. Although I’m not convinced it was an accident ;).

I thought Apolo did a great job of keeping up with the male pros in the group dance.

Shawn Johnson is just a joy to watch. She obviously doesn’t have the classic “dancer body” so I’m glad that she has this opportunity to dance at a (relatively) high level.
