Essays:
Common app: Solid 6 maybe I wrote about my experience at my all boys canoe tripping camp and how it taught me to appreciate nature and the strong community within the camp
First supplement: 8/10 I wrote about the BME program and how amazing it was along with the beautiful natural surrounding of Dartmouth and how it really appealed to me
Second Supplement: 8/10 I wrote about growing up in an Irish, german, jewish, catholic house being the youngest of 6 kids
Recommendations: First was probably a 10/10 super nice history teacher who has known me since I was ten and taught me US history
8/10 another history teacher because my other teacher bailed I had to beg for it last minute, but he’s a super nice guy who loved my sister and appreciated the effort I put in in his class
Peer recommendation: 9/10 one of my best friends who I have known for 7 years wrote it and she’s really good at writing
Other recommendation: 10/10 my boss at my summer camp wrote me a 2 page recommendation because he has known me since I was seven and loved the work I did at camp and my abilities with campers
Interview: 5/10 nothing special, lady was super nice and just graduated Dartmouth and seemed impressed with my work but it wasn’t really special

Strengths: Really strong test scores, grades, nature loving guy, appreciation for community
Weaknesses: No volunteer service, I dont think my common app essay was very outstanding and I wish I wrote something else but it seems like it worked
Why do I think I was accepted?: Legacy, strong appreciation for nature and community (again)

General Comments: Study hard and work hard, if you ever get too stressed applying to college, take a step back, breathe, and just realize that even if you dont go to dartmouth, college will be the best experience of your life.
