It seems like most people have the additional financial aid documents. Is it a good sign to not have one as of now? I also have both addresses.
I’m at least not certain. IMO, at least, there’s not enough information to say anything even close to definitive.
Also I see you everywhere lmao. I can only wish you the best of luck!
You as well!
My D has had both addresses and a similar range of financial aid docs as was shared above showing in her portal for quite a while - well before either could have “meant something” I think.
We did have a friend accepted last year who did get the follow up email from financial aid prior to being admitted officially, but they have a complicated financial picture (parents married but living apart for work) so I don’t think everyone who will be admitted will get that email. But if you do get it it might be significant? Who knows, but it’s fun to speculate.
The mailing or permanent address thing doesn’t mean anything. You can go in and change it from one to the other by editing addresses under “add address”.
Did anyone submit a International Student Financial Application instead of the CSS profile and still received the link for additional documents?
What does the link look like?
I’m not sure but I’ve heard people say if you get a request for this additional financial aid document there’s a high chance you’ll get in and i wanted to check if that’s true for international students that did not submit CSS
you need to do a straw pole on if you received a letter asking for updated financial aid info…
I would but I don’t know how to lol
I’m in class and lazy so.
Did you get this letter?
for yes,
for no

Last night I got an email at 11:45pm ET saying that I needed to upload some more documentation or else I wouldn’t be able to receive Dartmouth scholarship or Institutional funds.
Obviously it means I have to upload more information but did anyone else get this email?
I find it strange that they chose to email so late and they did not specify if all financial aid applicants who needed more information received the email. It’s probably nothing
From studentaid.gov:

So, it seems the request for a federal verification form might not mean anything regarding admission.
It’s still weird, because my FAFSA was not selected for verification whatsoever (as indicated by not having the star (*) by my EFC)
That doesn’t mean the school wont verify it. Some schools verify every students aid, regardless if they’ve been selected or not by FASFA.
For international students, this has always been an acceptance since dartmouth doesn’t use IDOC for internationals.
I’m not international
Yea, then it doesn’t mean anything since they download everything from your IDOC ![]()
any news on likely letters for dartmouth? has anyone gotten one?
does the financial aid email mean anything?
