Dartmouth Class of 2028 Official Thread

Because Dartmouth does not use idoc for internationals.

Ohkay

But what did they mean by this then?

Afaik internationals have to email their documents. But if they need them, the FA office will contact you.

They prolly meant that the international student was able to see the dates on their FA checklist updated in their Dartmouth portal @intlshotgunner right?

I didn’t know this before :sob:. What do I do now? Does it hurt my chances? They didn’t even send any reminder.

They will email you, in case they need them. many internationals don’t submit their tax docs and are asked by the FA office (at least that is what they say on reddit). It will not hurt your chances. Many applicants submit their documents late. I think Dartmouth even mentions on their site that they will not penalize applicants for turning their documents in late.

I’m intl. CSS is waived. ISFAA is still 1/10. I haven’t submitted any tax doc yet tho. No date change yet :frowning:

You need to specifically email your tax docs to dartmouth as an international. if you want to keep the window open for a financial aid email, then you might as well wait because submitting them does not affect your admissions chances or fin aid offer in any way. I recently submitted mine by email without considering that- which explains why I have recent dates on my profile. My CSS waiver is still dated on the day of submission and has not changed.

The css waived field never changes date for anyone. Only the fa docs that are accessed by fa staff do.

Are you sure? My docs were added to the portal the same day that I emailed them (i was not prompted to, I just went ahead and did it). They are therefore dated 3/19- does this mean I won’t know if I have had a date change?

I am basing this off of portal updates from last year. Even for people who had their dates updates, the css field (waived or otherwise) did not change dates. Just their documents. I think you may still be able to check for updates. Per the messages here, many people had their documents updated to 25 March or so. You can check for that. And you did say that someone you know had their dates updated recently too so…

I’m not so sure but CSS profile date (if you submitted that) also doesn’t change afaik. Only the tax docs dates changed in the previous cycles. If ISFAA is the equivalent of CSS, then its date might not change too? Anybody’s ISFAA date changed?

Yeah, I did not bother to ask which ones but that is very interesting, thanks.

No idea. I feel that most people submit their css profile. Did you submit your tax docs to Dartmouth with your isfaa?

do you know the country of the international student whose dates were changed? or was it the first time they uploaded the document?

Based on past years, does a date change signify acceptance?

No, I didn’t. I realised that a bit late. I think I will just wait for the email now.

Not 100% but generally yes. Some people who received FA emails even got waitlisted but idk if any were rejected

Wait to clarify, if I submitted my non-filing tax form a few days after CSS, it is included in the ā€œfinancial aid application materialsā€ right? I see that the date is a few days later than my CSS as I sent it later. So in this case, should I still expect a date change or additional columns? thank uu

I am really unsure…I think you should go through the CO2027 thread from last year because a couple of applicants (successful and rejected) shared ss of their portals there.
