do not read this too much. lots of people with changes turned out to be “no”, some w/o any changes --“yes”. In another word, it is no correlation or not easy to relate

I wonder if someone outside of the US did as well

same

Ivy day, same across, pretty sure many applicants applied to several Ivies RD. one way to consider it is that the oddes are drastically higher than winning the mega million. It does raise an interesting question….who would choose Dartmouth admit over mega million jackpot?

Wait what is the peer invite form? Was it to invite peer recommenders? My friend submitted through common app but when I click on peer recommendation (linked in my checklist) it says “peer inviteb form access denied” was it the same thing as the peer recommendation?

Yes, it is the same. You’re good.

does anyone know if they’re still sending out fin aid emails?

Yes according to ED admits

I sent a peer invite to someone. But because of some reason they couldn’t complete the peer recommendation. I know the peer rec was optional but I did send an invite. Does it hurt my chances that they didn’t submit it? I didn’t clear it with the AO either.

Nope it is optional. Highly recommended but optional. At least on reddit, some people claim they got in without one. Additionally, the AO understands that many applicants come from contexts where it is hard for them to procure a peer letter (especially for international students living in regions where english is not everyone’s first lang). Dw. If you are concerned, inform the AO about it and share your peer’s reasons for not sending the letter. I doubt if they will consider it so late in the process now

The quality of the peer review is pretty critical. If the peer is strong, understands the college admission process pretty well, then it would be a mistake not to submit. Much like it would be a mistake to turn down an opportunity to interview. My brother’s review was written by his peer and gf, who herself got admitted REA at Harvard. At least he knows that it’s not his peer review that pulls down his application. The question then becomes whether a Harvard peer is good enough to help someone into Dartmouth….lol

I am trying not to be anxious. I searched on reddit and there are no messages there about international RD-ers receiving any fin aid emails.

Also apparently some people can see admitted student in the source code of their portals. I am unsure if it means anything

where

Press control plus U. In the new window, press control plus F. Look up admitted student. Besides the word “admitted students” some people also see a link to class of 2028

I think that’s just part of the code for the drop down menu at the top of the portal.
