this is totally belated but…
I WAS ACCEPTED!!! Holy crap. Omg I was sitting in fifth period and my amazing govt teacher (love you, Mr. S. You da bomb) let me step outside of class to check. Everyone knew I was getting my decision today 1pm PST and that once I came back inside they would know what happened just by the expression on my face. When I saw the fireworks and the bright green CONGRATULATIONS banner on the admissions portal I choked up really hard because I couldn’t believe it. Once I went back inside and shared the news the class cheered. It was pretty great.
(As far as I know) no seniors this year from our school before today had gotten into an Ivy yet, so I’m honestly so proud of breaking through that barrier haha 
More seriously though, I just wanted to say that regardless of what your decision today was, all of you are exceptional people. I mean, applying early to such a prestigious Ivy League institution is a testament to our character and talent in itself. Each of us will end up at the right school for us and will go on to have remarkable lives – I’m sure of it. Thank you all for being such an encouraging support group in these trying months preceding today’s decision. I wouldn’t have survived it without you guys.
I am so honored to be joining the Big Green family with my fellow admittees. I CANNOT WAIT TO MEET YOU GUYS. DARTMOUTH CLASS OF 2020!!
