Just an Update

Say hi and post the following:
Name:
Country:
Hobbies/ECs:
And if you want… intended major:

Add Amherst Result - 29th March

And UC Berkeley is today
Thanks for the comforting guys - we’ll all be fine! Good luck for today!

Sorry to hear you guys got rejected :/

Ok. So do we post our decisions in the whole format here today?? After the Ivy decisions come out???

I say yes. Regardless of whether we get rejected/accepted/wait listed.

I got wait listed by Williams It’s odd how I can get accepted outright to a school with a 12% acceptance rate, but wait listed by one with 19%. It concerns me to say the least, especially given I’m applying to universities with acceptance rates as low as 5%. Having said that, Williams isn’t need blind for internationals.

^i don’t really think the acceptance rates mean much at that level. Plenty of people who get accepted to Williams get rejected by Pomona and vice versa. Different schools look for different qualities in their applicants. And being an international probably played a significant role in your decision as well. I received an early write to Amherst (need-blind) and was still waitlisted by Williams (need-aware for internationals).

@rishav I got accepted to Williams
Don’t know about financial aid yet though…

@lemming101

Congrats my good friend
I am very happy

Congrats lemming :)

@krishna @sunny

Thank you so much!!!
Good luck tonight…

Can’t believe all this excitement has led to today - it’s completely bizarre

rejected from williams, Duke!
FA ****s us peeps real bad :|

also, i have pretty much decided to enroll to this college i have gotten into regardless of whether i get into an ivy or not.
so. lets see. i aint expecting anything on the ivy day eitherways.

Nice one Lemming.

@oscarlany - your input is appreciated, mate.

@rew2402 aw that’s gutting… keep your head up! you’re going to uni!

@POmani don’t worry about it, I’ve got two acceptances, two waitlists and a rejection. Neither of them make sense % wise either, so who knows??

@quiverfox so true!

Congrats to all with good news!

Just to lighten the mood a little, who does everyone open their decisions with? Parents? Friends?

on my own, with my parents in the next room
they come in when they hear the screaming / frustration / crying…

Aww I’m going to open with friends today… I already have good schools but the ones coming out today are all reaches so I’m just going to try and have fun with the process!
