**Dartmouth International Applicant's Thread 2017**

@Raith
I hope so, but no professor has answered our inquiry. :confused:
Give your thoughts a try! :D

@rishav
I think I will need the help of God! ;D

@quiverfox
That is really amazing what you did. I would love to see a website, too :)

@Sunny
Well good luck with getting approval for the project :slight_smile:
Haha, I try to… but I just feel that I don’t have anything physical to show off… This is one of the reasons why I want to have interviews! :stuck_out_tongue: Only way to get these ideas across (and hopefully the interviewer understands what I am saying :smiley: haha… like my Princeton interviewer studied politics, business, ecos… no engineering :expressionless: and was in the marching band… I hope I still get a long with him :/) Still looking forward to it! 10 more days! :smiley: ;)

Have you done anything like Rashiv and Quiver? Or even like me where it was all just thoughts? :stuck_out_tongue: I’d love for you to share them :)

@Raith
Thanks :)

Unfortunately, no. But now after I read what they did I am getting curious and would love to do something like that. I will let you know if I find something where I can do research on :)

Good luck. It will work out alright! ;)

@Sunny
At least I’m not the only one?! :)

Great! Look forward to it… for all we know we all might work on a group project if we end up at Dartmouth :wink: just throwing that out there :stuck_out_tongue: at worst we go to different unis and still maybe do some work together… :smiley:

Everything works out in the end… the part everyone hates is waiting till the end ;)

I did the project with a company known as Enzen Global solns. I’ll pm the link to u guys…OR u can try AgDSM in India. I was part(my invention:)) of the first ever AGDSM project in India…YAY!:slight_smile: SO you should find something up on google as well:)
If not…P;s tell me, Ill PM:)

and you can also check out ā€˜THE Platts energy award’…its the OFFICIAL Nobel price in energy/energy conservation…It even has Nobel committee members evaluating stuff:)

That is what I won for the company:);)

@Raith
You definitely aren’t! :)

At this point let’s choose the easy way and just end up all together at Dartmouth. :D

@quiverfox
Thank you. I found it in the internet :)

@Quiver
Just spent the past 20 odd minutes reading about it a little more in depth. Very well done! Did you consider looking at applying for UPenn’s VIPER Program? I think this would have been a great addition to what they seem to have been looking for - so much so I wish I had done something even slightly similar to this :stuck_out_tongue:
Well done again, and very interesting :D

@Sunny
Dartmouth is the… EASY!!!.. way!!! -_- ;)

@Raith
Haha, no didn’t mean it that way :smiley:
I meant to work together it would be easier to be at one university :D

@Sunny
I know :stuck_out_tongue: I just thought it would be funnier to take what you wrote that way :wink: :D

But yes, it would be much easier working together if we end up at the same university (which in this case for all of us I think is only Dartmouth :)

@Raith - Well, my idea is only thoughts and theory - not published nor built!! So we(you,sunny & me) all have ideas in our head!! :D

But what quiverfox’s done is amazing!! I’m sure, come March end - He’ll have a handful of acceptances and I’ll have a handful of rejections.

@Sunny12 - How much did you get on the SAT??

Someone call Dartmouth and tell them to look at this thread!! :smiley: :p

@Rishav
Haha! that is SOOO Bleak bro! well unless your hands can only hold one letter at a time… cause that one letter filling your hand might be a rejection, the rest shall be acceptances! :slight_smile:
But I feel the same - main reason why I applied to Steven’s (even though it still s rated very highly… problem is I am still hoping that I am virtually guaranteed a spot- we will see I suppose)

Haha, yes, somebody please get a hold of Dartmouth and get them here :stuck_out_tongue: at worst they see a few ā€œlowā€ scoring international students who have awesome personalities ;)

@rishav
Around 1500 :smiley:
But I hope that my SAT subject tests aren’t that bad.

I know some people wonder why I even applied to Dartmouth with such a low score, but at least I tried :)

@Sunny
Is pretty low… how was the breakdown? and your essay score (mine was a 7… :s). When do you get your SAT subject test scores back? :slight_smile:

Hey, you have to try, if you don’t you will never know what could have been, right? :slight_smile: Actually had a bit of that in one of my Princeton Essays :P

@Raith
I took the ACT (just converted it to SAT). The problem was that I didn’t learn half of it at school. Maths for example, we didn’t do integers, matrix or even vectors. Now we started integers, but now it doesn’t help anymore :smiley:
There is a science section on the ACT. I don’t have biology or chemistry at school only physics. And if you ask German students to help you, no one can because no one is familiar with these tests. :smiley:
Writing score was 8 (score range 02-12) with a comment on my essay ā€œyour essay acknowledged counterarguments on the issue but did not discuss themā€. ;D

In 13 days :)

Right, just thought the same because my grades are actually fine :)

However, I will know in March/April :D

@Sunny
Oh ok, don’t know much about the ACT… I am more specialised in my subjects :stuck_out_tongue: no bio, history, eng lit :stuck_out_tongue: Even the english parts of my SAT were a bit of a problem… What was your ACT Composite score then?

I’m sure we all look forward to hearing about your subjects - more so if they turn out to be 750+ !! :smiley:

Yea, we will all know March/April… I think when the day comes I’ll be sitting there, but not open the results… haha! :S :P

@Raith
21 :smiley:
I would be happy with 680 :smiley:
My English part wasn’t that great either. I am glad you understand what I write ;D

Me, too. And the worst thing is when you start reading your letter and it doesn’t start with congratulations, that will be horrible. :D

@Sunny12 - You should’ve taken the SAT. No Sciences on that and the math is like 1+1 = ?
On the other hand… I should’ve taken the ACT, Because CR is not my piece of cake!!

And converting ACT to SAT is never accurate!!

As Raith says, you’ll never know until you try. Which is why I chose to apply in the first case!! Cause 2 yrs down the line, I don’t want to look back and say - Ohh why didn’t I apply?! :)

And I’m sure you’ll do well on your subject tests!!

I read my friend’s CMU rejection letter today. It is tough!! Especially when you really want to go there!!

But atleast I now know what one looks like!! :)
