I have 6 subjects. English has two papers, and I also have three practicals.</p>
<p>My school probably has a technical problem. Apparently none of the applicants from my school were able to send it via Common App. I donât have my counsellorâs ID and password. Would it be ethical to ask her for this information?</p>

<p>VIP apps are some kind of likelies I guess! Am I right? I wouldnât have known about a VIP app if Hofstra University didnât send me one a week ago. Hofstra is the only one which sent me such an app.</p>
<p>Drexel, UCB gave me VIP apps:) UIUC was of course âPriority aPPâ:D</p>
<p>$393 for standardized tests and $75 on applications (19 colleges). I really couldnât afford to pay more than that.
At present Iâm trying to email my mid-year reports, with the promise that the school will send them with the final report. I hope this works out!

<p>Actually all colleges use the college boardâs student search system to make a list of prospective applicants. While the top universities use it to send newsletters & stuff, the not so top universities use it to offer VIP apps to attract top applicants!! Each of these colleges know that all top students are bound to have 1-2 safeties and given the random selection mechanism at the top universities, a lot of good students end up at these âsafetiesâ and this is what these âaverage universitiesâ bank on!! :)</p>
<p>I got VIP apps from 6-7 universities - Drexel, Tulane, Baylor, Univ of the Pacific, St.Johns, etc. Though I applied to only Drexel because I remember a rep coming to our school & talking about Drexel!! Haha!! :D</p>
<p>So I have 1 safety(Drexel), 1 match(UIUC) and rest all are reaches(Pton,Dartmouth, NU, UPenn, Cornell, Columbia)!! </p>
<p>All together I spent ~40k INR on all my app fees, score reports, etc!!</p>

<p>And answering your previous question - I think it would be better if you just went your counselor, sat down with him/her and tried to get it done! Rather than taking the account details/etc. - which I think is unethical !! :)</p>
<p>But if youâre counselor is having a âtechnicalâ problem, ask him/her to contact the commonapp help desk - they are damn efficient!! :D</p>
