<p>Dartmouth is very outdoorsy plus the frat culture. I wouldn’t agree it was more academic than Midd. I agree with all the above posts, and will risk being flamed at to state that I think Dartmouth is a bit more to the right politically, and Midd more left-leaning. Of course, there are people at both schools of all political views. My rabid dem son is at Midd, and very comfortable.
The ski hill at Midd is a big plus if you ski.</p>
