<p>Both are great schools but Dartmouth’s name recognition will be stronger abroad and in the U.S… Biggest difference you will see is the atmosphere at Reed is much more liberal than Dartmouth and there really aren’t any intercollegiate sports at Reed. Even if you don’t play one it is sometimes nice to have sports available for rounding out the student body and rallying the school spirit…but that will all depend on the type of person you are and what you are looking for in a school. I am curious, why just Reed and Dartmouth? If you are into Dartmouth I would take a look at Cornell, Yale and Princeton as well.</p>
