I am not put off by the articles in the media - I am intelligent enough to figure out the picture they are trying to paint.

I am put off by one poster who continually posts references to these articles in an attempt to be provacative. I am not sure of his agenda, but I have not heard anything from him that indicates that he agrees that women should be at the academies, in the military and so forth.

If he is of the opinion that these stories are “shocking” or “off the mark” I have not heard him declare that.

I question his agenda. That is all.

This is a forum for candidates to come and get information and help with the process. Young women are making the same decisions as young men in dedicating their lives - for the next several years any way - to service to our country in the military. They shouldn’t have to come here looking for help and be subjected to post after post questioning their desired vocation. “Don’t give me that crap about if they can’t take it here then they can’t take it at the academy”. No one here is creating a hostile environment for young men - in fact they are quite revered.
