Either you women are hyper sensitive or I’ve hit a raw nerve or possibly both. You are jumping to unsubstantiated conclusions. Using your logic, men do not belong at the Naval Academy because they were also involved in my postings.

Women have been at the service academies for 30 years. Congress declared their “social-engineering” experiment a success back in 1976. Women are a part of the academies, regardless of what anyone’s personal opinion may be. For those who are waiting for Congress to come to their senses – Get over it!

The above quote is a sub-headline from the Washington Compost. Jim Webb never said that women don’t belong at Annapolis. His article argued that women do not belong in combat. Jim Webb was a Literature Professor at the Naval Academy when his article was published in the Washingtonian magazine. RAMD Lawrence (USNA ’51) was Supe at the time and his daughter Wendy Lawrence (USNA ’81) was a plebe. There were no repercussions at the time. The Supe’s response was:”He’s a marine, what do you expect?” End of story.

I am not defending Jim Webb; however facts are facts. Jim Webb used to be an honorable man before he started hanging around with his Hollyweird friends. He has already run afoul of Nancy Reagan and will probably suffer a backlash. For details see:

This is another case of a moron football player who thinks he is immune from playing by the rules. With that said, I predict that this case will end up being the third strike in the Supe’s campaign against sexual improprieties at the academy for the following reasons:

If the academy had a solid case, they would be trying Midn 1/C Kenny Ray Morrison by a General Court Martial NOT a Special Court Martial. The academy has probably chosen the Special Court Martial route because they don’t have sufficient evidence to get a conviction under a General Court Martial.

We don’t have a justice system in our country – we have a legal system.

The prosecutors in this case are Navy JAG officers – not the sharpest knives in the drawer.

Midn 1/C Ray will probably hire a high-profile civilian attorney who will decimate the JAG officers. Déjà vu the Lamar Owens case.

Rape cases are difficult to prove.

There was alcohol involved in this case. Another he said, she said, case. Consensual sex vs. rape.

Any female candidate interested in the Naval Academy or any other college for that matter should read the following commentary on the Lamar Owens case:

I’m not going to comment of this article. It has already been beaten to death.
