<p>branfan 09, I’ll let current students respond about the dating scene. However, this “ugly student” thing is ridiculous. It certainly wasn’t true in my time there nor is it now from what I have observed. Although beauty is in the eye of the beholder, click on this link and take a look at this picture of Brandeis students—men and women—appearing on the Admitted Students day page of the Admissions Office website. <p>Plus, not that an intellectual school like Brandeis would be know for glamorous students, but it is worth noting that some now-famous, glamorous actresses have roamed the campus in the seventies, eighties and nineties, to name a few: Debra Messing (“Will and Grace”), Robin Weigert (HBO’s “Deadwood”), Lorretta Devine (Broadway’s "Dream Girl"s, TV’s “Grey’s Anatomy”), Gates McFadden (Dr. Beverly Crusher–“Star Trek TNG” and male actors too. With a nationally-recognized theater program, you’re bound to have folks whose looks are their stock in trade so to speak.</p>
