<p>As for the waiver, I would give his mother a pass if she had tried. She did not. His siblings are likewise and it’s not just table manners, but all sorts of manners. I didn’t grow up fancy-schmancy either, just the kid of a teacher/principal. After all this time, it’s still incredible to me that people would act like that to each other or at the dinner table. His mom was a teacher too.</p>
<p>I will go back to the venting thread to be negative Nan. So…back to the OP’s daughter, still voting it’s not the job but whether he has ambition and drive and life goals. My advice is to check him out for a long enough period of time to be really aware of everything about him.</p>
