<p>I just got a private post from someone asking about my daughter’s surgery, but when I tried to reply to it, I got a message saying that there was an incorrect “redirect”. No clue. Anyway, I belatedly want to thank everyone who had suggestions. Things worked out very well, but only because the surgery was right before Christmas, and our family (my husband, son and I) was able to take over her apartment since all of her flatmates were gone (they were wonderful about letting us stay). We stayed there for 2 weeks (till 11 days post-surgery) until her flatmates started trickling back. I was SO grateful to be able to spend that much time with her post-surgery, and she was in pretty good shape when we left. I cooked and froze foods like never before. NOTE: if you are temporarily disabled at Northwestern, you can get free taxi service from your abode (on or off campus) to class. You have to apply through Disability Services.
