Davidson Class of 2028 Official RD Thread

Davidson loves legacies. They make a pretty big deal about all the siblings and second or third generation people who attend. I haven’t seen them share a stat on the advantage but based on their rhetoric and the sheer number of siblings I saw there, I would be very surprised if there was not a sigling legacy advantage.

Am I missing something? What was supposed to change?

Nothing necessarily, but we were talking about portal changes yesterday.

My son got in! I hope some of you did too!

Waitlist here. I loved this school, so I am bummed out a bit. Has other great choices though.

My son (a student) has friends who work in admissions and they say that Admissions likes siblings. I’m not sure how much of a legacy preference that is, but it can’t hurt!

Rejected

SAT 1460
Uw3.8 w4.5

Some leadership

Probably a good thing because couldn’t afford it anyway.

Accepted, but no merit and no financial aid.

Congratulations!!!

Davidson gives very little merit aid but is quite generous with financial aid. If you find that the NPC differs from the amount given, definitely reach out to the school to discuss.

Admitted! Congrats to everyone & sending love and good luck to those not !!

What is the difference between Fly In Day and a regular Admitted Students Day?
